"I first saw Dr. Peters at a very scary time in my life. Breast cancer had made a reappearance in the same breast that had been treated 12 years earlier with lumpectomy and radiation. Mastectomy was the only option, and my surgeon insisted that I speak first to a plastic surgeon regarding reconstruction. He recommended Dr. Peters.
Dr. Peters spent a great deal of time examining, listening, and then making her recommendations. I immediately felt at ease and left with my questions answered. I opted for placement of a tissue expander at the time of the mastectomy. Throughout the process of saline injections and then permanent silicone implant and opposite breast lift, Dr. Peters could not have been more supportive, competent, or attentive.
